HELLO APRIL!!

Hi There!
I have gotten all excited with the warm weather we have been enjoying.  So I decided to make a card to celebrate that and the month of April. Now we are being told there is a frost warning for our area here in upstate New York!!!   Well, I am sending this card to my sister since her birthday is in the month of April.  But now it's May!!  Can you believe that?  Guess I will be working on a May card real soon.  Thanks for springing by - LOL - couldn't help myself;)  Hugs ~ CaroleAnn

Card Recipe
Image is from Krista Smith/Saturated Canary called "Canary Love"  Love her eyes and hair - image colored with Copic Markers.  I used some Frantage embossing powders as corner embellishments.  DP is from Graphic 45/Place in Time.  I used a tag from the same paper with some shabby blue ribbon from Live & Love Crafts.  A cutout from same paper for top of card and behind image - postage stamps.  Doily and cheesecloth behind image and gold/cream ribbon from stash and blue rhinestones here and there.

SUCH A LOVELY DAY

Hi, There!
Today was such a day!  A lovely day - full of sunshine and warm weather!!  Yes!!  Wish I could say I just enjoyed it but.... I was out there cleaning windows and screens.  But a break came later and then it was such a lovely day looking at my clean windows and screens;)

On to the card -
Image is from Lili of the Valley colored with Copic Markers.  I think she is so cute with her fuzzy sweater.  I used Star Dust on her sweater and her petticoat.  Some liquid pearls in the background here and there.

I bought some Shabby Ribbon from Live & Love Crafts (check them out) and it came wrapped in a piece of script cardboard that I used behind the image and applied some Fran-tage Shabby Pink to it.  Added some Frantage Shabby Pink to my little wooden bird cage and to the Joy corner punch.  Papers are from Lost & Found-My Mind's Eye/Blush. I like how the bird shows behind the bird cage! Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. Lace is from my stash.  Little Kite sticker is from MS.

It has been a long time since my last post - just a very busy time for me and my family.  But I would not let my Sister's birthday go without posting a special card for her.  Thanks so much for stopping by - glad you didn't forget me;)  Till the next time, hopefully it will not be so long before I can get back into my craft room!  Hugs, ~ CaroleAnn

Card Recipe:
Papers from my stash, image is a Whimsy Stamp from Bunny Zoe's colored with Copic Markers.  Used a Spellbinder label behind the image.  Added some paper quilled packages, sparkle ribbon. I made a paper flower that I stamped with some text and finished off with a button and some cording.  Also used some stickers here and there and stamped the text in the corner.  Plenty of star dust on the candles and stars!  Just a fun card to make!
