ENGLISH COTTAGE

Hi, There!

My last post of that 1999 PSX wooden stamp.  I had a few in different sizes and they just remind me of English cottages or perhaps Scottish cottages.

I kept the coloring very simple - only on the roof and the flowers around the front of the cottage.  I imagine them as roses and the glorious scent you would get on your goings and comings from this lovely cottage!  Kept the framing simple too and just added some ribbon behind the framed image.

Just a short post for today.  Have a wonderful weekend and stay safe, hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

A SWEET HELLO

Hi, There!

I have some cards I made some time ago but just did not get around to posting yet.  This must come with age,  and the heat we are dealing with here - I have no energy lately.  Thank goodness I have an AC in my craft room:)

On to my card - I think this rabbit is so sweet looking.  It is a wooden stamp from Suzy's Zoo collection and this is called Lulla Bye!  I like his pink pads as my cat has pink pads too (he's a ginger kitty).

I kept the design simple for mailing, not happy when I have to use that extra postage;)

I used a scallop punch that I had before the Big Shot explosion for cutting all those shapes, used Copic Markers for the stamped image.  Added a little hello sentiment, some gingham BP, ribbon, and a butterfly sticker.  Good to go!

CELEBRATE YOUR DAY!

Hi, There!

I hope you are doing well.  We have some beautiful weather here on East Coast - must make time for a walk!!  But first this post:

I had this die label for quite some time and decided to give it a home.  The sentiment and all papers are from SU.  Flowers from my stash.  These were all papers just leftover from another project so it made it super easy to just put it together!  Thanks for stopping by,  hope you have some sunshine where you live, hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

WHAT'S UP?

Hi, There!

I ordered this stamp set from PowerPoppy called short stacks and it is on sale now. You can also order this one in digital form but I wanted the clear stamp set.

I have so many digital stamps and in the beginning, I just thought I will save space and not buy any more stamps (that never happened) but, alas, my computer is packed and I never think to go thru what I have (as I believe I just forget what I have)!

Most times, I am in a hurry and just want to sit down and stamp and color - no computer browsing and going to my printer and printing.  If I had everything in one room, I believe I would be more productive! Maybe;)

Well, back to the card - I once had a parakeet called Peter and my sister and I adored him.  He had quite the personality too!!   Peter was green like the bird that I painted on the first card and yes, he would have sat on a teacup too!   As usual, I had to make one more card featuring this bird in blue.

Fun image to color and design, something I needed right now.  Thanks for stopping by to take a peek and if you leave a comment, thanks - I love to read them!  Hugs and blessings always ~ CaroleAnn

Card Recipe:  Colored with Copic Markers, this is a 5 x 7 size card.  BG paper is from stash, added an embossed heart paper, the image has been framed with a Memory Box/wrapped scalloped stitched rectangle, used distress ink for shading, and the black and white paper with buttons and threading all from my stash.

Card Recipe:  Colored image with Copic Markers and used the same die-cut for framing the image and distress inks for shading.  This is a 6 x 6 square card and the BG papers from my stash.  Seam binding ribbon dyed to match the card and enamel dots added.  Glitter to the cups on both cards.

COFFEE LOVER'S CARD IN PURPLE

Hi, There!

I just had to do one more of these coffee cards and my daughter loves the color purple so here it is!  Plus I found some adorable charms in my charm box so I had to add those too.  Amazing the stuff I have collected and then it is like a surprise when I locate the stash.

I used some Nuvo Crystal drops inside the coffee cup.  Added some SU sequins and the seam binding is one I dyed.  The card base was in my card base box waiting to be used.  Strips at the bottom are from a leftover project from SU.  Glitter added around the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you can find time to enjoy a cup of coffee or whatever your fave beverage may be.  Hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

BIRD WATCHING

Hi, There!

I hope you are well in this trying season and staying safe and sane!!!!:)

Hubby and I are watching more birds then usual at our feeders - wonder if they got a "stay at home" order and now depending solely on our shopping for their feed and loading up the feeders? LOL  Some of them are quite chunky - got to be all the stay at home stuff;)

So two cards using some old Stamping Up wooden stamps dating back to 1998;)  I can't believe I have been stamping and making cards that long - actually started with SU in 1995!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you get to see some pretty birds in your part of the world.  Hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

 CARD RECIPE:
Kept both cards simple as may be using some for donations.  The top card has some old stickers from Brenda Walton collections.  The only color I applied was a light beige on the flowers with a little glitter.

CARD RECIPE:
I received this Poppy Stamps die called Petal Ribbon and was excited to get it on a card - it is so pretty and I am sure I will find many more uses for this die!!  The only color applied here was on the apple and some Nuvo Crystal Drops for dimension.  The heart clip is keeping it closed for me for the photo but I am thinking I will leave it there.
