When I was younger, my sister and I had a parakeet named Peter and he was a beautiful color of green and yellow! So I just fell in love with this image and knew I would be making a card and sending this to my sister. We have some fond memories of this very social bird called Peter!!!!
Now I am owned by a cat named Sam!!! He is a ginger and white, green-eyed love! Don't we love our pets, they do take a special place in our hearts.

ReplyDeleteWow! This is gorgeous! My sister had a parakeet too. She took it with her when she got married and moved to Minnesota. His name was chirping waters. She called home one day sobbing hysterically and my folks thought something must have happened to her husband, but the parakeet had died. We were all so relieved it wasn't her husband! I had forgotten all about that until your post!
