Hi, There!

I am using an image from East Wind for my last post of the evening - which is really three in one night for me - a record for sure!  So scroll down if you wish to see the two previous posts.

But as my previous post has stated I am taking a break and will be back in the New Year.  So I wish all a wonderful holiday season and many wonderful blessings for a healthy and happy new year!!!  Hugs ~ CaroleAnn

COME LET US ADORE HIM

Hi, There!

Yeah!!  It's Friday and the weekend is here!!!  Always a good feeling.

Just had to do one more card using the Penny Black sentiment die-cut and the La-La-Land Crafts border die cut image.  Background paper from Winter Wishes/First Edition and coated the sides with Fragments embossing powder in different colors.  Rhinestones from my stash.

Besides my card, I started some baking so it was a productive day.  It has been snowing here and it does look pretty and like a white Christmas!

Some packages were delivered here today and with them, I ran up the stairs to hide them in my closet!!  That's not totally true, as I can't run up any stairs!!!  But I do hide the gifts in my closet until I get a chance to wrap;) Luckily, my grandkids do not read my blog:)

Hope you are doing well and getting whatever you need to get done for the upcoming holidays.  Big hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

CHRISTMAS WISHES

Hi, There!

Christmas will be here so soon and I just got back from a little shopping.  I don't go crazy anymore and we do Secret Santa for the adults here so that makes everyone's life so easy peasy;)

Not sure how many more cards I will get done with my baking needs calling me to attention - so my access time will be limited in the craft department;)

So just in case, A Merry Christmas,  A Happy Hanukkah, A Happy Kwanzaa, and just Happy Holidays to all with many blessings for the New Year with hugs!!!  CaroleAnn

Card Recipe:
Background done with Distress Oxide Inks and masked for the moon.  Versafine Ink (black) used with clear embossing powder for Santa and sled and for the trees.  Sentiment just stamped in Versafine Ink.  Stamp set from Decora.

MERRY AND BRIGHT

Hi, There!

Just had to use this stamp before time ran out for making my cards.  My sister loves mice so this was an easy peasy card to make for her.  Non-traditional Christmas colors - BUT - I did color one more in the red and green just have to design the card around it - that always takes me the longest to complete.  We have lots of snow here so far - hubby is cooking chili - great for a cold winter night!!!

Until next post, stay warm, safe if you are driving in the white stuff, hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

Card Recipe:
Stamping Bella image/Polar Bear & Mousie and colored with Copic Markers.

Papers are from my fave UK Cardcrafting Magazine - they always have a freebie attached to the magazine and this time it was a stamp set, embossing folder (which I used at the bottom of my card), a set of foil cardstock in beautiful colors, and another attachment of KaiserCraft Christmas Wishes paper set!!!!  Just beautiful!!!!

So the label is from the KaiserCraft set which is mounted with 3D foam to a die cut tag from Hero Arts.   I applied Stardust glitter to Mousie's hat, Wink of Stella on their hats and scarves.

Diecuts from Hero Arts - tag, Snowflake from Sweet Dixie, Rhinestones and ribbon from my stash.  Snowflakes were colored with Distress Inks.

PEACE ON EARTH

Hi, There!

We are in for the white stuff here!!!!  I already have my dinner planned for Saturday and Sunday so we have our food.  And of course, some snacks and ice cream - never too cold for ice cream!!!  lol

I made this snow scene with a cute stamp set I found in my stash and I cannot tell you where it is from - could be Recollections from Michaels.  I cut out my own snow banks.  I have those fancy cuts for my die cutting machine but this was so much faster;)  Popped up the foreground and the reindeer and the birds.  It was fun - would have done the trees differently - fussy cut them out - but I was in a hurry - thinks I am a little impatient.  Have to work on that for the New Year;)

The background was done with Distress Oxide inks, masked for the moon, and added liquid pearls for the snowfall.    Added some stardust on the snow.

Thanks for stopping by - stay warm and I hope you are not dealing with too much white stuff where you live!!!  Big hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

SNOWY THE SNOWMAN:)

Hi, There!

I am not sure if we will have snow for Christmas here on the East Coast of the USA - it has been fairly mild during the day but cold at night!  But if there was snow, I would build a snowman just like this one - if my bones were younger! lol

So I will settle for making a card - one in green and also one in red. (I did not photo both)  He just makes me smile and this is a wooden stamp from an older collection of Penny Black stamps.  Oldies but goodies, I always say;)  Until next time, hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

COME LET US ADORE HIM

Hi, There!

I saw this sentiment die cut from Penny Black and knew immediately how I would use it!

Perfect for Simon Says Stamps Monday Challenge - Star Light Star Bright!  No star brighter or sheds more light than this Star!!! Also for the C.R.A.F.T. Challenge #444 - Christmas Present - no greater gift for a Christian than His birth!!!!

Designing of my card does not come easily to me most times - I truly love the coloring process of any image I use the best.  This image is from La-La Land Crafts called Mary Molli - such a sweet face.  I did cut her out to pop her in front of the die cut background (also from LaLaLandCrafts).

The sentiment is from Penny Black which I also love.  I cut that out from some sparkle paper.  The image is colored with Copic Markers and I added lots of Wink of Stella so it has such a nice shimmer - lost in the photo.  The background paper is from Maja Design/Vintage Frost Basics.  Ribbon from stash.  Thanks for stopping by, hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY TO MY GRANDDAUGHTER

Hi, There!

I hope you are doing well and getting some creating in during this busy time of the season.  You can't see my table for all the Christmas labels, stickers, papers, glitter - well, you get the idea;)  But I had to clean away a spot to make this card for my granddaughter - she will be 2 at the end of November.

She loves Curious George so I had this little girl monkey that I thought would be cute for her and I made a shaker card for her.  Inside is another monkey like the one on the front but attached with one of those wobbles so she has some interactive stuff going on inside.  It was so much fun to make it.  And I just had to make her a glitter envelope to match all the pink going on!!

Now I am back to full swing Christmas cards and hope to post some by the middle of this week - Lord, allowing;)  Until next time, stay well, big hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

WINDOW SCENE

Hi, There!

Who wants to be inside or outside in this window scene?  This is my cat Sam, he sits at all the available window spots in our house watching all the wildlife outside.  I know he loves being inside where it is warm but sometimes - I wonder?

Now that little bird looks happy enough outside in the snow, safe from a prowling cat.  His stockings are all hung with the hopes of some bird seed (I have a bag ready)!!

I created the background for the bird with Distress Oxide Inks - Broken China and Faded Jeans - splashed with water droplets.  Added Stardust.  Die cut a window, added acetate to the back of the window and glued some snow on the inside.  Used 3D foam to mount the window over the bird stamp.  Colored the bird image with Copic Markers.

Used an embossing folder of snowflakes for the background paper.  Added the window scene.  Stamped and colored the next image with Copic Markers. I cut that image out and applied that plus the die cut cat to the front of the window.

Ribbon from my stash and added the sentiment "Merry Christmas" in white embossing powder.  Thanks for stopping by and until next time, big hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

Card Recipe:
The stamp image of bird is from Penny Black/Snow Much Fun Clear Stamp set
Sentiment is from stash

DO YOU WANT TO BUILD A SNOWMAN OR TWO?

Hi, There!

Well, that is not what I want to be doing!!  Please no  S N O W - yet!!!  But these snowmen look like they are just having so much fun in all that cold stuff!!

These snowmen images and the background image are all rubber stamps from Purple Onion Designs.
I masked my snowman on both cards and made the background sky first by using my Distress Oxide Inks.  Some stardust glitter for snow and a snowflake sticker.  Sentiment from my stash.

Now if you look real close inside one of those windows on that cozy log cabin,  I am inside hunkered down in a fluffy warm blanket in front of the fireplace with a cup of hot cocoa!  lol

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are cozy and warm.  Until next time, hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

WONDERLAND SHAKER DECOUPAGE MAGNET CARDS

Hi, There!

I got this idea from Tina's blog called Cards and Coffee on her YouTube channel!!  Thank you, Tina, for all your creative ideas!!!

On her tutorial, Tina put her 3D decoupage removable magnet on the front of her card but my magnet would not stay on the front so I reversed it and put my magnet gift inside of my card.

I had trouble getting a clear photo due to the acetate sheet glare but in person, the card looks really great as a 3D framed decoupage shaker card.

The paper I used is from Wonderland by Helz Cuppleditch and the decoupage kit is from the same and all from the UK at HobbyKraft.  Thanks for visiting me and have a wonderful evening or day ;)  Big hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

Front of Card
Inside of card with gift magnet
You remove the left side of the card and have a magnet for your frig.  There is a magnet glued behind the image on the front of the card and that is what is holding the shaker 3D card in place inside of your card!

Top of this inside card removes for your magnet.  It is a 3D decoupage shaker card!

HAPPY MAIL

Hi, There!

Who doesn't like Happy Mail?  I love receiving a surprise card in my mailbox and better yet I love sending a surprise card to someone.  So with that in mind, I made two "happy mail" cards to use for later.  I love this image from #StampingBella.  Tiny Townie/Lacey has a letter image.  She is just so darn cute!!!

I had to make the first card following the sample color image on the packaging of the Stamping Bella rubber stamp set and the second card I made with some sample paper, a doily, and a stamped sentiment - all received as a thank you from #Verve Stamp company - nice touch and thank you!  Like I said - happy mail:)

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you to receive some happy mail - no bills - just happy stuff;)

A FLOWER MEDLEY OF THANKS

Hi, There!

I think you can never have enough Thank You cards and Birthday cards.

I used a Penny Black stamp set called Flower Medley and stamped the image onto watercolor paper and used watercolor pencils to color the image.  Added some Wink of Stella and Stardust.

Tore the side of the watercolor paper for texture and added some watercolor paints and glitter to the side for interest.   The image was popped up with foam tape over the lace and pearls to add dimension to the card.  The base card is Japanese linen cardstock from my stash that I bought years ago and it is an A2 size card.  This cardstock is so beautiful I always have trouble putting anything on top of it - it has such a beautiful texture to it - which I think is lost in this photo for you.

Thanks for stopping by, big hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

IT'S WITCHES BREW TIME

Hi, There!

Got this card done in speed lightning time!  I did not have much coloring to do - that and trying to figure out a design for the image to incorporate into a card takes me the longest!!!  What about you?  I could color all day but my arthritis would have something to say about that!!!  lol

This is an image from Stampendous - Toil and Trouble and after I colored the fire and the moon, I then added the Nuovo Crystal Drops - onto the design of the card and then I used rub-ons for the sentiments!!!  Quick and easy and I like the outcome too!!  Thanks for stopping by, hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

UP-CYCLED RIBBON FOR CARDS

Hi, There!

I love when I find something I didn't even know I had - like a stamp set!!!  Thinks I have too much!!!  I really have to downsize my products but need to find out where I can donate some of my stamps etc. - any ideas let me know.

On these three cards, I used a ribbon that was tied around a gift for me as it was a perfect match for these cards!!!  So I am sending these cards back to the person that gave me the gift so they can see what I did with the ribbon for an "up-cycle" project I had to complete.

All backgrounds were created with Brushos.  All images from Hampton Arts (old set) colored with Copic markers and added lots of Wink of Stella and glitter and of course, the ribbon is there on all three cards!

Sentiments of "Hello, pumpkin" from Verve Stamps/Autumn Leaves
"Current Mood" and "Boo" from PowerPoppy stamps/Feeling Fall

Thanks for stopping by, hope you get a chance to "up-cycle" something that made you smile!!  Hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

SPOOKY

Hi, There!

I love this stamp set from Whimsy Stamps called Sleepy Hollow!  I had fun attempting to make my own background scene and a few miss haps but not bad for my first attempt!!!

I was watching some creepy Halloween show and spooked myself so I stopped watching!!!  Have no idea why I do that - to begin with, I watch the show between my fingers!!!!  lol  So I was ready to make a spooky scene!!!

FALL GREETINGS TO FRIENDS

Hi, There!

Hope you are well.  I have been working on more fall-type cards and here are two that I enjoyed making and will be sending to some friends.

I love pumpkin spice latte so I had to do another coffee cup card for my favorite beverage!   Do you have one for the change of season?  This is a Stampin Up stamp and die cut - Coffee Cafe - I love this set!!

And the second card, I have used a stamp set from Power Poppy - Feeling Fall - and I love this set too.  Okay, I love all my stamps and digitals.  Never can make up my mind which should I do first!!! lol

Thanks for stopping by and wishing you all Happy Fall Greetings - hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

Card Recipe:
Background done with Distress Oxide Inks and embossed Tim Holtz leaves.  The die cut leaves are done from some paint chips I picked up at Home Depot;)  (I was bored while hubby was walking around and spied these chips!)  Coffe cup and sentiment from Stampin Up and pearls from my stash.

Card Recipe:
Background papers from stash and the image is from Power Poppy/Feeling Fall set.  Glossy accent on the boot and mounted onto scrap blue paper that has been distressed.  Fussy cut some of the leaf stamped images out and mounted with 3D foam.  Used Nuvo orange liquid drops.

HAPPY HARVEST CRITTER

Hi, There!!

First I need to say how my heart aches for Puerto Rico and all our fellow Americans that have suffered due to these past hurricanes - Harvey, Irma, and Maria!  Not a day goes by where I am not praying for all of you for the much-needed help to reach all of you.

Our church has teamed up with our local community college to help get supplies where they are needed in Puerto Rico.  And I am sure there are scenes like this across America for those in need. May God keep you all safe and bless those volunteers and responders.

I have a card here with a cute critter - although I will say I am not totally fond of squirrels since we have a constant battle going on with them and our bird feeders;)

This little guy found himself a yummy looking acorn - hope he remembers where he will bury it!!  That always fascinates me with them!!!  I can't remember where I left my reading glasses!!!!  lol

Thanks for visiting and till next time, Hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

Love this image and it is a very old wood mounted stamp from Uptown Design called Look Out Below!!

The background was made with a My Favorite Things - rectangle shaker cut out.  I added the plastic insert to add my sequins, beads, and pumpkins.

Fussy cut the mouse and mounted with double 3D foam dots.  Stickers from my stash.  This little critter looks like he is having some fall fun;)

WANT SOME CANDY, MY PRETTY???

Hi, There!

Hope this finds you well.  I thought I would be in full swing with feeling like creating Fall and Halloween cards, but this heatwave has slowed down my mojo!!!  BUT - I managed to get two cards done and so here is one for a Halloween theme!!

This is an image from QKR that I have had for some time now and it is perfect for a Halloween card.  Not so sure that I would take any candy from her with those nails!!!!  lol

Following Copic Markers Used:
Skin E0000 E11 E000 G20 E70 E71
Hat C5 C7 C8
Hair Y00 Y11 G20 YG13

Stamped her hands on separate paper and I fussy cut them out and mounted with 3D foam.

The image was cut with a Lawn Fawn Stitched Frame die and mounted on some fun foam for added dimension.

The background paper is from Haunted Hollow and the stickers are from my Halloween stash, the sentiment is computer generated.  Glossy accent on her eye and Wink of Stella on the moon tag and her rather ragged nails:)

Just love some of these sentiments in the Penny Black "Faith" stamp set.  The autumn leaves are from Tim Holtz and the pumpkin image is from Inkadinkadoo.  This is a one layer card made with watercolor paper.  Since I love fall leaves the combo was a done deal.

The background was done with Brushos.  The sentiment stamped with black ink.  The leaves stamped with Distress Oxide and painted with the same and the image was painted with the same inks.

Added lots of Wink of Stella and sparkle for the word "Faith".  Thanks for stopping to visit, till next time, hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

R. I. P.

Hi, There!

I am getting into the feel for Halloween with all the Autumn colors I am seeing both on the web and out my windows!!!  Love it!!!  I have had this image for some time now and just getting around to coloring it up.  And what fun it was!!!  It is all done on one piece of white cardstock that was cut out with the Lawn Fawn - stitched rectangles dies. Then layered to black cardstock and onto a top folding orange card.

The moon image I added for the spooky effect - the poor ghost is scared out of his grave!!!!  But the pumpkin looks friendly enough even with all that glowing going on!!!  Thanks for stopping by - hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

I LOVE FALL

Hi, There!

Yep, no secret here, fall is by far my very favorite time of year.  So here is another card with Mo Manning's digital image "Swing High".  I kept it simple.  Colored with Copic Markers.

The background is from "blotter" watercolor paper I use when cleaning up my table - so as not to waste any of my paints.  These paints were from Distress Oxide Inks.  I save them all and use them like this for backgrounds or for die cuts!!

The leaves are from Tim Holtz autumn leaf collection that I fussy cut - they were stamped with Distress Inks.  The tag I made and applied some letter stamping and drew the heart.

Lots of Wink of Stella on the leaves and in her hair!!  Doesn't she look happy!!!  I can hear her squeals of laughter as she swings in her favorite Maple Tree!!  Thanks for stopping by - hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

Copics used:
Skin E 000-00-01-11-70 -93
Dress BG 01-02-05-07-09
Hair  E 70-71-77-79

EVERYTHING BEAUTIFUL IN ITS TIME

Hi, There!

I love this sentiment because it is true during the fall season.  When the leaves change their colors so here it is but it is a flower - Penny Black - Peony image.  Stamped the image in Distress Ink on watercolor paper and painted it with Zig Watercolor markers.  Lots of Wink of Stella on the flower image - does not show here but beautiful in person.  Sentiment from Penny Black - Faith sentiments - stamped in Onyx Black Versa Mark Ink.  Added some watercolor to the word and more Wink of Stella.  Nuvo Crystal Drops here and there.

Thanks for stopping by - till next time - hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

HAPPY FALL

Hi, There!

I love the fall and the trees are already changing colors!!!  Not sure if that means we will have an early winter - UGH!!1  But I had fun stamping this Penny Black image - Peony.  Painted it with Distress Inks and Zig Watercolor markers.  Added a border around it with distress ink shading.

Some spatters of distress inks here and there.  The sentiment "happy fall" from my stash.  Added a strip of gold scrap paper at the bottom of the inside of the card.  So the top part of the card is a little smaller to show the gold thru when it is closed.

Hope you like it and have a wonderful evening - till next time, hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

LIFE'S SHORT. . .

Hi, There!

I have had this digital stamp from Mo Manning's shop for a long time and only just getting around to putting it on a card!  Fun image that makes me smile and remember those childhood days of swinging high!!!  Something about swings that always makes me feel happy - if I should venture onto one in the park - where I occasionally take walks.
This was colored with Copic Markers:
Skin  E000 -00-01-11-93-70  Hair E53-55-57  Dress R14-24-29  Shoes E43-44-47  Swing E37-59
Thanks for stopping by and till next time, board a swing and see how it makes you feel;)  hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

I did end up tying a red string around the left side of the card but did not take another picture of that finished.

MONSTER BIRTHDAY WISHES

Hi, There!

Hope you are having a good week and the weekend is almost here!!!  I made a card for my grandson who will be 8 next March!!!!  I know how far ahead that is but believe me I never plan that far ahead.  Just happen to find these digital monsters online and fell in love with them.  So the card turned out to be perfect for him and that was it!

I made it a shaker card and added a panel on top with foam tape to be able to stick one of the monsters from peeking out.  All monsters were placed with 3D foam and colored with Copic Markers.  Digital monsters were from #Gerda Steiner Designs.

Enjoy the rest of your day.  Thanks for stopping by, hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

Inside of card:
I cutout some balloons from wrapping paper and attached them with 3D foam pads and used my Copic Black marker to draw some string down to each monster and spelled out his name on the monsters.  It was a fun card to make!

BOOKMARKS

Hi, There!

It has been a while for me - on vacation and then getting ready for back to school supplies - both high school here and college (grandkids).  But we also have some teachers that teach Bible school and those adults who attend Bible Study - so I just decided bookmarks.  Thanks for stopping by - hope everyone returning to school - has a wonderful year!  Hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

Here are my three bookmarks and all three I laminated to keep them strong:

Each has a different sentiment from #Verve Fill My Cup clear stamp set.

Bookmarks are made from watercolor paper that was shaded with Distress Inks.

Attached the watercolor bookmarks to some background paper from the #Heartfelt Coffee Collection.  Also used some of their coffee stamps - cup, spoon and cups all together - and one image from their paper that I fussy cut out (that one cup is on the center bookmark).  The cloud image on the middle bookmark is from the Verve stamp set.

Added some corner punches and a doily or two from my stash; punched a hole at top and some pretty twine.  Stardust here and there.

SWEET FRIENDSHIPS

Hi, There!

Me again with another Penny Black card.  Used another sentiment from the Penny Black sentiment called Faith.  I have renewed my love for my Penny Black stamps and some new ones to boot too!  So I am having fun rediscovering - really I am slowly reorganizing and de-stashing my supplies and finding what I forgot I had and doing a lot of donating - which always makes you feel good!!

This is a small card and I used the Crafty Secrets stamp called Poppies and painted it with watercolors with the Clean Color Brush pens.  Mounted to a black card stock and then to a white card base.  Thanks again for visiting with me, hope you have some very special friendships as they do refresh your soul and put a smile in your heart;)  Till next time, hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS MORE OF.....

Hi, There!

Just finished this card and had to load it up.  Plenty of inspiration over at Penny Black, Inc. site and this is one of the ideas I saw and was so excited to try it out.

I used Distress Inks directly to my stamp and then used a water brush to pull the color out on my card stock.  The edge for my card is the masking I did to get the edged frame in place around part of my flower and I used Distress Ink (Brushed Corduroy) to complete this look.  Some sequins here and there and Wink of Stella only in the edged frame.  Thank you so much for visiting me, have a great night/or day - hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

Image is a Penny Black Stamp - A Moment In Time
Sentiment is a Penny Black Stamp - Faith

Image was painted on a watercolor paper - cold press, 140 lb weight.  Attached black card stock to one side of a white 5 x 7 base card and mounted the image with foam tape.  This is a beautiful stamp.

I used the We R Memory Keeper's Precision Press Stamping Tool ( like a Misti but cheaper in cost) so I could keep adding the distress inks from light to dark to get the shading I needed without ever moving my card stock from the tool and just kept re-inking as I needed.

HINT:  I was almost going to give up on this tool, and was thinking of getting the Misti but found the solution to my problem.  My paper would never stay in place for the re-inking and it moves more with the thick watercolor paper.

So - If you find your card stock moves when you stamp and need to re-stamp -  an idea - I found in Walmart some magnet adhesive sheets and I adhered one of these on the back of this tool so now nothing moves when I apply my magnets on top of my card stock as I am re-stamping.  Doing a happy dance to solve a problem and save some $$$ - to buy something else!!!!;)
