Mixed Media Card/Color Purple

Hi, There!

Finished my mixed media card and I had so much fun with this.  I had received some new Lindy's Stamp Gang inks and just had to incorporate them into this card base.  How I made this card follows but here is the picture and thank you for visiting with me today - Blessings and Hugs ~ CaroleAnn

Card Recipe:
Used pieces of random paper from my stash to apply to card base with heavy gesso.  Also some old book pages added.  Stamped a rubber text stamp here and there.  Gelato edges all around and then used a stencil to rub out the colors for ghosting effect.  Molding paste for a diamond stencil and added some Lavender crushed glass with glitter with the molding paste for background.  Used gel medium to paste down my scraps of interest from my stash.  Used Lindy's starburst inks to paint around all my elements.  7 Dots Studio text stickers and painted them with a gel medium mixed with Acrylic Silks paint.  Rhinestone hearts added with hot glue gun and tied a piece of glitter yarn from Magic Scraps for finished piece.

Mixed Media Bookmark in Memory Of

Hi, There!

I am trying to be more aware of recycling some of the packaging I receive from orders.  So I used this cardboard backing that my refill for my Tombow Adhesive was wrapped in.  Since it has the cutout at top, I just thought it would be a perfect bookmark for me.

I started with covering the whole backing with heavy gesso and used blue fragments mixed into gel medium on top of that.  More gesso with applying a piece of cheesecloth and a piece of torn cardboard. The 3 butterflies were made with modeling paste and used the negative from a cardboard piece Dusty Attic chipboard.   Painted with Silks Acrylic paints mixed with gel medium.   Used Lindy's Flat Fabio Hibisucs Rose and Caribben Blue for background and then went in with Lindy's Starburst Spray inks and I wish you could see how beautiful these inks are with their specks of gold!!  Used 7 Dot Studio text stickers.  My bookmark is in honor of my Mom, Dad, and my dearest friend, Terry.  They are all my special angels in heaven.  Thanks for stopping by, have a blessed day, till next time ~  Hugs CaroleAnn

SENDING SMILES ACROSS THE MILES TO YOU

Hi, There!

Hope my card finds a smile on your face as that is what I am sending you if you are reading this:)

Received my first kit from LaLaLand Crafts and loved it so much just had to make a card from some of those products.

This my first card for 2017.  I am lagging behind my normal gusto for crafting but hoping to catch up soon.  My attention gets so divided between everything I like to do!!!  Does that happen to you and if so where does it take you?

I like to create in my art journal for mixed media art; designing greeting cards for family and friends, and sometimes just coloring with no idea in mind but love the image!

I thinks I have to combine it all into one - yes - my next project - a mixed media card that could be incorporated into my art journal!!  Thanks for stopping by,  till next time, big hugs, smiles, and blessings ~ CaroleAnn 😊😊😊

2017 HAPPY NEW YEAR - BE HAPPY - BE YOU!!

Hi, There!

I wish you a happy and healthy New Year!!  I started off my new year with an art journal spread.  I have joined Maremi's Creative Cafe on Facebook and she was so kind as to issue some free printables so I just had to use something of these - naturally fairies for sure;)

I also went to the dollar tree and got myself a small note book to record how I do some of these mixed media art journal pages - so I can remember what to do and NOT to do!!!  LOL  But that is the beauty of it all - you learn as you go forward and just be free and create!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I am looking so forward to a healthy, beautiful, and creative year with all my friends and family!!!  Big Hugs and many new blessings to everyone ~ CaroleAnn
