Pop-Up Card for my Sister!

Hi, There!

I have wanted to make a pop-up card for a very long time and finally got around to trying it.  I had some technical problems but those areas have been hidden by other clever art work!!  LOL  So as I make more of these, I am sure I will figure out the cut-out part for the inside of the card a little better each time.
Thanks for checking in with me, have a great evening, till next time, hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

MAIL CAME AND I RECEIVED A NEW TOY!!!

Hi, There!

Making this short as I should be starting dinner!!! LOL  But I just had to have a play with my new toy - W R Memory Keepers Precision Press.

I have been drooling over the Misti Press but it really is not in my budget so decided to do some research on both the Misti and the Memory Press.  I purchased the WR Memory Keepers Press.

For me there was no issue with the paper moving as I stamped and I tried it on watercolor paper that had a curl to it due to the background paints I used.  The base on the Memory Press for your card stock has some kind of texture to it that grips your paper.  It worked beautifully with both the clear stamps and the foam cling mounted rubber stamps - no need to change anything for use with these different types of stamps as it adjusted itself to either type of stamp.

So here is what I stamped and not sure what I will do with them but they will go into some project down the line!!!  Here's to a new toy for everyone - oops, not on my budget - sorry!!!  LOL

SOCIAL BUTTERFLY

Hi, There!

I am back again this time with my second page for my attempt to "Break a Blank Page" as presented on youtube by Marta.  Background has gesso first, then glued down torn book pages.  Modeling paste for the stencil.  Used Lindy's Stamp Gang spray inks and Magicals to paint the background.  Inkadinkadoo stamps colored with Lindy's ink sprays and fussy cut and applied to background along with two stamped sentiments.  Lots of shine on this page but just does not come thru in photo and I used by star dust for glitter here and there!!  So late here and I am going to bed.  Thanks for visiting, till next time, wishing you a little "carefree" time, hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

Mixed Media Fun - Page 1

Hi, There!

Hope you are all doing okay and maybe having some fun or creative time to yourself for today or perhaps tomorrow.

I played today with my blank pages for mixed media art.  I have a photo of the pages that I have to create something on and one finished page.

Finished page has recycled chipboard that I just glued to my page and then started adding spray paints of different colors and the rest just fell into play for me.

I never have a plan and I think once the paint goes down on my page that actually is my spring board to what I will add next.  The idea for this practice work of art is from Marta's video on "How to Break a Blank Page" on YouTube.  Thanks Marta!!

Well, till next time, have a great weekend, hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

Hi, There!

Happy Valentines Day to you - again!  I did not think I would post again for this day but here I am with a card that I made last night from a digital stamp that I have had for a long time.  Wee Stamp/Amy designed by Sylvia Zet.

I started going thru some of my drawers of stash both rubber stamps, printed digital stamps and also some neglected paper stashes.  I want to try to use as much as I find before I start my donating process of all my "old stash of goodies".  Thanks for stopping by and till next time, Hugs and Blessings ~ CaroleAnn

Baby Its Cold Outside!!!

Hi, There!

It is hot cocoa time here on the East Coast of USA!!!  We got a foot of snow here yesterday and the temps have really dropped.   So I decided a nice cup of hot cocoa for me and what better way to enjoy my hot beverage but to color something!!  I have this image forever and not sure if I ever used it but she is so cute - Marci from La-La Land Crafts/Hot Cocoa rubber stamp!!!  I decided on my paper theme first and colored her up accordingly.  Punched out some snowflakes to match and added some rhinestones from stash.  I have two photos - outside and inside for you!

Hope you are staying warm if you are anywhere in my location or somewhere else in the world that it is cold!!!  If you are somewhere warm - don't tell me!!!  LOL  Only kidding;)  Thanks for stopping by, till next time, hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

ATC - Playing along with Creative Cafe card challenge

Hi There!

I am playing along with Maremi's Creative Cafe on facebook for a ATC #52cafecards challenge and having fun as I have never made ATCs before. (Artist Trading Cards - only to trade never to be sold)  So I am playing catch-up as they are already on their 5th week for a card which for that one is the letter e and it will stand for Eclipse - that has me pondering over my playing card for awhile!!! LOL
Here is what I made so far from week 1 - A for art, B for bubbles, C for coffee, and D for dragonfly.

Have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by, hugs ~ CaroleAnn

ATC recipe
All cards (they are suppose to be playing card size but since I did not have that size I am using an old Tarot Playing card set) are prepped with heavy gesso and then the layers (inks etc) are added.
