TAKE TWO - A LITTLE BIRDIE TOLD ME

Hi, There
I just had to try my hand at my new Spectrum Noir markers on the same great image.  I found a new love (still in love with my Copics too) but nothing wrong with two loves;)  I love their color scheme and their Spectrum Noir blending colored pencils match to perfection.  So I used some pencils to add shading and dimension.  Love my new toys!!  Thanks for visiting.  No time here to make a card - between working and then traveling on the weekends for basketball tournaments!  We were in Springfield,  MA last weekend and now we go to Albany, NY for the Gym Rats blowout!!  Go Rockland Rockets (my grandson's team ;)  Till next time, Hugs ~ CaroleAnn

A LITTLE BIRDIE TOLD ME

Hi, There!

A real short work week for me  as I had a few days off!  I managed to get a little creative juices flowing over the long weekend.  My hubby bought two sets of colored pencils (well, the truth be known - I bought them and told him this was my Mother's Day gift from him )  Love those kinds of gifts - don't you?  LOL

I wanted to try them out and found out real quickly that although they are as bright and bold as they say they are, they will never replace my Copic Markers.  But still not too shabby for the first attempt at the shading and I had to change my paper to something with more fiber to it.  I had trouble blending on the paper I use for the markers.  I would imagine the craft paper will work well too - when I find more time;)  The digital image is called A Little Birdie by Mo Manning.  Spectrum Noir Blendable pencils both primary and essential sets used.

Till next time, take care and thanks for visiting, Hugs ~ CaroleAnn

FAE 8

Hi, There!

I am excited to announce that I was invited by Ema, the DT Coordinator of Fitztown, to be a Guest Designer for a challenge at Fitztown.  It was easy for me to say yes, as you know how much I love coloring fairies!  So I was happy to pick Fae 8 and design a card for her.  Ema, thanks so much for giving me this opportunity.  Here is my card and I enjoyed every moment of this creation!  Be sure to check out all the other wonderful creations over at Fitztown's Challenge Blog for May 3rd - "Lots of Layers"

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
613 Avenue Create #69 - Anything Goes
Crafting for All Seasons - Lots of Layers
Crafting By Design - May Anything Goes
The Sisterhood of Crafters - Things with Wings

Bow/Butterflies B91 B95
I used 4 different background papers from Kaiser Craft/Sweet Nothings.  I tore one piece of paper for the upper left corner and that was difficult for me to do as I love this paper so much - I sometimes don't want to use it!!  The image has been mounted on to Craft paper.  I used a white paper doily, white lace; mounted a zipper charm and gold corners all from LLC.  Flowers from WOC and blue rhinestones from my stash.  I used a MS butterfly punch on vellum and also stuck a little heart pin inside the flower arrangement.
