JOYFUL JENNY

Hi, There!

I hope my post finds you not going too crazy with all the last minute Christmas details.  Pretty calm around here as we have scaled way back this year and it is so much more relaxed.  I am just starting on my cards but I do not have many to do and I have some from last year that I never got around to using so enough for the few I send.

This one goes no further than in my own home as it is for my daughter, Jenny.  A friend surprised me with this stamp from Stamping Bella and I was so happy to receive it and just knew I was getting to work coloring her up (thanks to a video on the Stamping Bella site).  Thanks for stopping by and so without further ado, here it is and if I do not get another chance to post - a very happy and blessed holiday season to all!!!

CHRISTMAS BOX FULL OF GOODIES

Hi, There!

I finished all my Christmas cards and was able to fill my Christmas box for our church Women's Ministry raffle this Friday!  I forgot to take the picture of the inside before I wrapped it up in cellophane - oops.

The box I bought at Michael's and it has a linen look to the lid and the word "Peace" in gold on the top of the lid.

The box itself has cardinals and winter berries all around with gold handles on either end.  Best yet - it was half price.

I was able to get 16 handmade cards inside along with a little bag of hand cream and a bag of M&Ms.  Now we know, we need hand cream after handling all that paper and we need the energy to make all those cards!!!!  I really had a lot of fun putting this all together.  Oh, yes, I treated myself to a bag of M&Ms and hand cream too;)

Thanks for stopping by, hugs and be blessed ~ CaroleAnn

Little peek of the package of hand cream but the M&Ms are on the other side.

CHRISTMAS CARDS GROUPING PHOTO

Hi, There!

I am working on a project for my church.  I picked up a Christmas box from Michaels (50% off) and decided to donate it for our raffle table at our Women's Ministry Christmas Dessert Nite!  I know it is a yummy nite full of dessert and appetizers!!!  Worship, prayer, and fellowship with lots of fun tucked into it all!

I decided to add some of my handmade cards inside the box and this is what I have so far and a few more to go along with some candy tucked inside the box;)

Thanks for stopping by and always be blessed ~ Hugs, CaroleAnn

The two snowmen image (Whimsy Stamps) are on a gatefold card closed with a ribbon to the side.

LEAF PEEKING

Hi, There!

No more leaves to be peeking through but I am a little behind with my cards.  I love this image from The EastWind and I found by looking through my stash this die of a great maple leaf frame and so the card is born!  Next post will be on the Christmas cards I am getting around to creating - slowly but surely!!  Be happy and always be blessed ~ Hugs, CaroleAnn

FAITH ALBUM AND JOURNAL

Hi, There!  NOTE:  PHOTO HEAVY!!!

This is where I have been all this time.  Having fun making this mini 7 x 7 photo album for my daughter, Jennifer.  Jen was baptized this year but last year her daughter and I were baptized and we have these awesome photos that need a nice home.

So this is where they will go.  She will have fun deciding how to set up her photos.

I researched so many videos to learn how to make an album from beginning to end and I thank -
Scrap and Create /Christine Riley as I have used her album tutorial and changed some pages up but her instructions are outstanding.

Papers used are Stamperia Wonderland.  Gorgeous paper hard to cut it up but this is worth it!  Thanks for stopping by and I think I will take a break from album-making for a while but plan to make another one soon!!!  Hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

The left side is the inside cover with a front pocket.  The right side is the first page which is a side flap that opens with lots of photo room.  The tab is a pullout that is blank for your photos.

Here you can see the binding and the four pocket pages I made

A gatefold pocket page.

The tags (Graphic 45 die-cut and tag)and bookmarks that I put inside some of the pockets have Scripture of Faith on the back to keep with the Faith Theme of the album and she has room for journaling!

Last page with back cover and another pocket for the tags and bookmark!

METAMORPHIS

Hi, Everyone!

Finally getting back to sitting at my craft table to get some work done.  I am really getting back to creating a mini photo album I started before my hip replacement but that will take some time but I am enjoying putting it together, slowly.  And will be sure to post the album once it is done!

But I did get to color up this image that I have had for some time by artist Grazio Salvo called Women of Flowers/Metamorphis.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope it will not be too long before my next post.  Hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

Just BEE Cause Cards!

Hi, There!

Well, I managed to get two more cards done from this SSS July kit.  You get a honeycomb die with the kit and the stamp with two bees holding hands is just too much!!!

The clouds on the one card are from my sticker stash.  So much fun with these cute guys!!

Oops!  This kit has sold out - sorry.

Thanks again for beeing there to visit my blog:)  Can't help myself as I guess I am bee-sotted with these bees;)  LOL

Enjoy your day.  Blessings and hugs ~ CaroleAnn

Smart and Sweet As Can BEE

Hi, There!

It has been a while for me to create anything as my time has been very limited in sitting time at my craft table due to some hip problems.  Having a hip replacement in about a months time; so may be out of commission for a month or two.

But here is a project I did once I received my July kit from SSS.  Love this set.  The bees are full of personality and I love the one with the glasses!!!  I got my ideas for these cards from Cards and Coffee Time on YouTube.

Without further ado here it is and thanks for stopping by - have a great weekend!  Blessings and hugs ~ CaroleAnn

Hi, There!

Welcome, Friday!!!!  And welcome to my blog!  This is my post as a DT member of QKR Stampede.  My card inspiration is another baby card (if you scroll down, I think this is my third) so at the risk of being boring here it is - a photo of both outside of the card and inside of the card:

BABY BOY

Hi, There!

Hope you are happy it is Friday!!!  I am:)  Sorry this is another baby card but I just had to do one more in blue once I found some leftover scrapbooking paper.  Next week, I will have another baby card that can be used for either boy or girl that was made with a cute digital image from QKR.

QKR Stampede challenge is always Anything Goes, so give it a try.  If you do not like coloring, they have some great sentiments to browse thru.  Sometimes a quick card can be made from just working with a sentiment and using up some of those scraps.

I made this card mostly from scraps that I had from Graphic 45 "Little Darlings"  and the flowers and pearls are all from my stash.  Love when I can look thru my boxes and find goodies I forgot I had!!!!! :)

Thanks for stopping by, hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

This is a 6 x 6 white cardstock base card.  Covered with Graphic 45 papers from Little Darlings, distressed around the edges with Brushed Corduroy.  Also, from same DP, I used a background paper that has a lullaby with music notes printed on it and added some blue tulle, then the image was framed with a Lawnfawn stitched die.  Flowers, pearls, buttons from stash.

BABY GIRL - TO BE

Hi, There!

Well, it has been a while for me to make any kind of baby cards, but one of the young women in our church will be having a baby soon and they just found out she is having a girl!!!  So I get to go pink, pink, pink!!!!

I made an easel card for this week's inspiration for QKR Stampede's challenge of Anything Goes - using one of QKR's digital stamp #32502.  It is a Scripture from Jeremiah and thought it was great for her card.

(Sorry, the photo is not the best - have a new camera and pod and having some problems with it!  Just a matter of getting to know one another;)

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you join in for our Anything Goes challenge.  Hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

Card Recipe
Papers from K&Company/Brenda Walton   Ribbon, flowers, and pearls and buttons all from my stash.  I used a Lawnfawn rectangle stitched frame die and distressed the edges with Spun Sugar.

JUST BEEN THINKIN' ABOUT YOU

Hi, There!

Yep, just been thinking about our QKR Stampede challenge for today.  This is my card inspiration for this week and you know bees are everywhere!!!  In the card crafting world, they seem to be all the buzz!!!  Secretly I wish there were more of them out and about our gardens.  There used to be so many honey bees - but not so now - sad and scary as we need them:(

I hope you have a great weekend, thanks for stopping by to my blog, and if you can, come and play along with QKR Anything Goes challenge.

Bee happy, hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

Hi, There!

It is Friday again!!!  So we have another QKR challenge for you - Anything Goes - so easy peasy;)

My card inspiration is an anniversary card I made for my husband as we celebrate our 52nd Wedding Anniversary this month.

Not sure what this little rag doll has in her watering can that she grows such large tulips behind her but I think she is adorable and then I found this Verve sentiment and a little wooden frame and it all came together for me!  Hope you like my card.  Thanks for stopping by, hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

WHISPERS FROM THE SEA

Hi, There!

I love mermaids and went thru some of my digital stamps from Aurora Wings and found this one that I can't remember if I ever made a card for her so here it is.

The background paper is from my Whimsy Stamps June kit and the silver glitter embossed bubbles I made from one of the background stamps that came with this set.  I have to make some cards from the adorable stamps that came with this set and their papers are just gorgeous!

I wonder what she hears from the shell - can you remember doing this as a kid!!!  So much fun.  The frame is from Whimsy Stamps shaker frame and the sentiment is from a Tim Holtz Thinlits die.  I also found an underwater sea life die and used it on some of the leftover Distress Oxide Ink backgrounds I made to match some of her colors. Added some pearls here and there.  The image is attached with 3D foam and so is the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon for QKR Stampede Friday challenge!  Hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

POPPIES WATERCOLOR STYLE

Hi, There!

At the risk of being boring - another Poppy card but I did try my hand at using watercolors on this set of poppies.  I always forget how much I enjoy the watercolors until I take them out and try them again.  So many different techniques and not enough time to try them all!!!  Lol!

The stamp is from Stampendous/Poppies and I stamped them on watercolor paper.  Popped up the front flower with a 3D foam pad.  Frame is from Spellbinders and background paper is from my stash.

I used a SU sentiment which is embossed in black and another Spellbinder flag tag die.   Some Stardust and Wink of Stella on the flowers and I used some sequins from stash.  Thanks for stopping by, and now I feel the need to color some "girlie girl stuff" ;)

Hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

POPPIES

Hi, There!

A flower card for today.  There was a lot of shading on these flowers but it does not show up in the photo which is disappointing to me.  I have another one that I did in watercolor that I hope to upload before end of this coming week.

I stamped the background images first and colored them and then the last poppy and the leaf were colored and fussy cut to attach with a 3D foam for dimension.

It is a happy card but I left it blank - no sentiment - as I am not sure what I wanted to put on it - Hello or Thinking of You.  Sometimes I just like to have a card with no sentiment so you are free to use it for any occasion and write the sentiment inside.  I actually meant to add some sequins, so I guess that comes after the fact now.  Lol!!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.  Hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

Card Recipe
Stampendous/Poppies Cling stamp
Copic Markers - sorry never wrote down the colors - reds for sure;)
Distress ink around the edges   This is a white 5 x 7 base card with yellow and black cardstock

AT THE PARK

Hi, There!

It is Friday and time for another QKR - Anything Goes - challenge.  For my card inspiration, I made a shaker card using the digital image At The Park Q11905  and there is a sentiment that goes with this and it is inside my card and I forgot to take a photo but it is Q11906 "Life Will Always Have Its Ups and Downs".

These two rag dolls just reminded me of Raggedy Ann and Andy - which I had as a little girl - so these rag doll images are dear to me;)  Lots of sparkles are inside the shaker frame!  Fun to shake.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you join in, have a great weekend, hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

Card Recipe:
Digital Image #Q11905  Sentiment (inside card) #Q11906
I used a red card base and a Whimsy Stamps Rectangle Shaker frame die
Grass die cut from stash   Copic Markers to color these little rag dolls and used my cloud stencil in the background.  Ladybug stickers from my stash.

I used this image once to make another birthday card for someone and my sister saw it and fell in love with it and told me I had to make her a card with this image.  So here it is only I changed the cake to chocolate!!!  Yummy.  This is only one of many cards coming her way as she is turning 70!!!!  Sorry, Sis, I spilled the beans but I wanted you to join me in these wonderful golden years of the '70s!!!  LOL

Now if you look at the photo of the inside of the card - that is where my big booboo came in.  I put the inside card on the wrong side but just went with it and added the stickers on the other side that should have had the inside white card stock to write my message.  She will laugh when she sees this - thanks for stopping by - be blessed always ~ CaroleAnn XXOO

APRIL SHOWERS BRING BOOTS FULL OF FLOWERS!

Hi, There!

I had to make some cards to replace those cards you need in a hurry for whatever reason and I found these 3 digital images in my stash and that was it!!!

Everything just fell into place - don't you love when that happens:)  I also found a bundle of A2 card stock already cut to size and in many different colors!!!!  Have no idea if I made them or bought them!!!  This is what happens when you have too much and start cleaning out your shelves, bins, and drawers!!  LOL

So here is the one I am posting here but below are two more I made and just wanted to share.  Thanks for stopping by - hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

Card Recipe:
Imagine That digital image Frog Boots colored with Copic Markers.  The image is cut out with a stitched nesting rectangles die from Tutti Design and used the same die for the next two layers of papers.  Added a hummingbird sticker, and ribbon from stash.  The sentiment is a "thank you" freebie stamp from Verve (now no longer in business)  I used this sentiment on each card.

Sharing This Card With:
Ike's World #119 D for Die Cuts/Anything Goes
Dies R Us #119 - April Showers - anything related to this - for me boots:)
Try It On Tuesdays - Spring Time
Tuesday Throwdown #429 - ATG

The other two cards I made the same way with these adorable boot images and stitched nesting rectangle die:

Used paper from KaiserCraft/Blessed for framing the image.  I tried my Nuvo Drops in the background and they turned hard inside and can't be used - only had them for a year.  But my Liquid Pearls I have had for years and years and they never fail to work!!!  Yay!

Used paper from My Mind's Eye/Blush.  Stardust on the polka dots on the boot.  Sequins on the background are from Stampin Up.  Ribbon from stash.
