MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU

Just posting a few photos of some of my creations for my Christmas cards for family and friends.

Be blessed and enjoy your family and friends.  Hoping to have a better 2021 with hope for an end to all this chaos.

The first two cards were made from a kit - Kim's Cards.

Next two cards from my Stampin Up supply.

I stuffed a pair of warm wool blend socks inside this little mini coffee cup carrier!  Was fun to make.

OPEN IF YOU DARE POP-UP card

 Hi, There!

Since Halloween is not far off, I got this chance to try my hand at this special fold card.  So here is a photo and all the supplies used to make this card are from SU.

It was a fun card to make and I will try a few more for those in my family that like to receive halloween cards.

Hope you are well, and I hope to be around on my blog - but rest assured I am checking in with all my faves - may not be leaving many comments, but I am loving what you are all making.

Be blessed and be safe, until next time ~ hugs and blessings, CaroleAnn

THANK YOU HONEY BEE

 Hi, There!

Well, I have not been around for a while and now see a new blogger concept so I will go with this until I can figure it all out!!

We could use more honey bees around here.  It is sad to see how scarce they have become.  Our tomato plants could use a few:(

This is a shaker card made using Stampin Up products and I had fun designing this card.  It is easy when all the papers coordinate with everything.  I love this stamp set too - Honey Bee.  Thanks for stopping by, hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

Here is a photo of another card made with the same stamp set.  I know, whoever saw a green honey bee hive - but hey, it's my card;)  The hive was die cut and attached with 3D foam dots.  I colored some flowers here and there on the background paper.  Fun card!

GECKO LOVE

Hi, There!

Hope you are okay and hanging in there.

I got a kick out of seeing these geckos and just had to make a card with them.  Yep - it is from my stash so no name for these except I am pretty sure it was an Inkadinkadoo stamp because it was in an old drawer with a bunch of those stamps - which I do not believe I will be able to part with.

This is the worst purging I think anyone has ever done.  I just can't help myself as I know I will want to use this stamp again.  If it is more than 10 years from now, I may not be here!!!!!  So I should let it go as I think that is how long I have had these stamps!!!!!   Only kidding, sorry:(

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.  Take care and, hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

Sharing my card with:
The Little Red Wagon #559 - Spots and/or Stripes

CARD RECIPE:

The gecko image was stamped three times and is colored with Copic markers on separate thick white cardstock, fussy cut,  and attached to the front of my background with 3D foam.

The background I created before attaching the geckos with an MFT stamp with various colored inks from my stash and did the same with the splatter stamp that came in this same set from MFT.

Added the sequins from SU and then mounted this to black cardstock and then onto the white base.

THANKS A BUNCH

Hi, There!

I have been waiting for the arrival of those Washington State cherries in the supermarkets!

Last week, before I could have my own, my daughter works as a home health care worker and she helps with the food shopping so the lady she works with gave her some to bring home to me!!!  I thought that was so sweet and kind of her to think of me in her busy day of food shopping.  So this card is for her!!!  So sweet when someone you haven't even met, thinks of you with such kindness.

The cherries have arrived in Shoprite and on sale for 2.99 lb and 1.99 lb if you use your digital coupon!!!

So hubby brought me home a bag and I am so happy - love cherries but these are my favorites!!!  Good when you have arthritis too!  (Sweet thoughtfulness on hubby's part too!)

Thank you for stopping by and hoping some sweet kindness comes your way too!!!
Hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

SUNSHINE WISHES FOR YOU!

Hi, There!

Here is the sunflower I wrote about in a previous post.  This is an old stamp set from Crafty Secrets.  And I love this set, has this sentiment that I used on the card and within the image that is framed.  Butterfly stamp is also included.  The background paper is from SU, their new Artistry Blooms, gorgeous paper and the sequins to match are so sparkly - love them!!  Ribbon is also SU.

Image has been colored with Copic Markers.  Glitter on the "S" of the word sunshine and the wings on the butterfly.  A happy card for sure;)

Thanks for stopping by, hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

SUNFLOWERS

Hi, There!

I found this old stamp set from Crafty Secrets and I used part of the sentiment that came with it "sunshine".  This set has a gorgeous large sunflower stamp that I made a card with and will post that hopefully soon.

The little sunflower is a wooden stamp from SU that I found in one of my forgotten stamp drawers.  Such a cute little stamp - yeap, not giving this one away either.  LOL

The sunshine stencil is from TH and I used my distress inks.  Added some glitter here and there.  The wooden button is from my stash.

I love sunflower images - bright and happy flowers.  I think I have a Gerber Daisy stamp set too - still searching thru some of my old stamp drawers!!!

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a sunshine type of day, hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

Hi, There!

For all the July birthdays for this month - this is for you!  This is a Power Poppy stamp and it was fun to color up.

I used a SU embossing folder and image coloring all done with Copic markers.  Framed with a SU die and dots from stash.  Distress ink used on the embossing folder and around the frame die-cut.

The cupcake had me drooling for one, so we bought a tray of cupcakes to celebrate the 4th of July with our family tonight.  A beautiful day for us to celebrate, it was quiet, just us - but that being said "just us" is seven people here living together!:)

So going to put some coffee on and dig into our cupcakes!!!  No diet for me this weekend!!!!  Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the rest of your day and hope you find something yummy to eat at the end of the day!!!  Hugs and blessings always ~ CaroleAnn

THINKING OF YOU AND SENDING HUGS

Hi, There!

This is how I feel right now, just thinking about my family, friends, and the world in general.  I love this mouse image and I had to give her glitter shoes!  LOL  I made one up in pink tones (for my sister) and one in purple (for my daughter).

I am supposed to be downsizing my wooden stamp collections but then I fall in love with them all over again - this is not working so good for me!!!!

Well, if nothing else know someone is thinking about you today!  Hugs and blessings always ~ CaroleAnn

ENGLISH COTTAGE

Hi, There!

My last post of that 1999 PSX wooden stamp.  I had a few in different sizes and they just remind me of English cottages or perhaps Scottish cottages.

I kept the coloring very simple - only on the roof and the flowers around the front of the cottage.  I imagine them as roses and the glorious scent you would get on your goings and comings from this lovely cottage!  Kept the framing simple too and just added some ribbon behind the framed image.

Just a short post for today.  Have a wonderful weekend and stay safe, hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

A SWEET HELLO

Hi, There!

I have some cards I made some time ago but just did not get around to posting yet.  This must come with age,  and the heat we are dealing with here - I have no energy lately.  Thank goodness I have an AC in my craft room:)

On to my card - I think this rabbit is so sweet looking.  It is a wooden stamp from Suzy's Zoo collection and this is called Lulla Bye!  I like his pink pads as my cat has pink pads too (he's a ginger kitty).

I kept the design simple for mailing, not happy when I have to use that extra postage;)

I used a scallop punch that I had before the Big Shot explosion for cutting all those shapes, used Copic Markers for the stamped image.  Added a little hello sentiment, some gingham BP, ribbon, and a butterfly sticker.  Good to go!

Hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

CELEBRATE YOUR DAY!

Hi, There!

I hope you are doing well.  We have some beautiful weather here on East Coast - must make time for a walk!!  But first this post:

I had this die label for quite some time and decided to give it a home.  The sentiment and all papers are from SU.  Flowers from my stash.  These were all papers just leftover from another project so it made it super easy to just put it together!  Thanks for stopping by,  hope you have some sunshine where you live, hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

WHAT'S UP?

Hi, There!

I ordered this stamp set from PowerPoppy called short stacks and it is on sale now. You can also order this one in digital form but I wanted the clear stamp set.

I have so many digital stamps and in the beginning, I just thought I will save space and not buy any more stamps (that never happened) but, alas, my computer is packed and I never think to go thru what I have (as I believe I just forget what I have)!

Most times, I am in a hurry and just want to sit down and stamp and color - no computer browsing and going to my printer and printing.  If I had everything in one room, I believe I would be more productive! Maybe;)

Well, back to the card - I once had a parakeet called Peter and my sister and I adored him.  He had quite the personality too!!   Peter was green like the bird that I painted on the first card and yes, he would have sat on a teacup too!   As usual, I had to make one more card featuring this bird in blue.

Fun image to color and design, something I needed right now.  Thanks for stopping by to take a peek and if you leave a comment, thanks - I love to read them!  Hugs and blessings always ~ CaroleAnn

Card Recipe:  Colored with Copic Markers, this is a 5 x 7 size card.  BG paper is from stash, added an embossed heart paper, the image has been framed with a Memory Box/wrapped scalloped stitched rectangle, used distress ink for shading, and the black and white paper with buttons and threading all from my stash.

Card Recipe:  Colored image with Copic Markers and used the same die-cut for framing the image and distress inks for shading.  This is a 6 x 6 square card and the BG papers from my stash.  Seam binding ribbon dyed to match the card and enamel dots added.  Glitter to the cups on both cards.

COFFEE LOVER'S CARD IN PURPLE

Hi, There!

I just had to do one more of these coffee cards and my daughter loves the color purple so here it is!  Plus I found some adorable charms in my charm box so I had to add those too.  Amazing the stuff I have collected and then it is like a surprise when I locate the stash.

I used some Nuvo Crystal drops inside the coffee cup.  Added some SU sequins and the seam binding is one I dyed.  The card base was in my card base box waiting to be used.  Strips at the bottom are from a leftover project from SU.  Glitter added around the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you can find time to enjoy a cup of coffee or whatever your fave beverage may be.  Hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

BIRD WATCHING

Hi, There!

I hope you are well in this trying season and staying safe and sane!!!!:)

Hubby and I are watching more birds then usual at our feeders - wonder if they got a "stay at home" order and now depending solely on our shopping for their feed and loading up the feeders? LOL  Some of them are quite chunky - got to be all the stay at home stuff;)

So two cards using some old Stamping Up wooden stamps dating back to 1998;)  I can't believe I have been stamping and making cards that long - actually started with SU in 1995!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you get to see some pretty birds in your part of the world.  Hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

 CARD RECIPE:
Kept both cards simple as may be using some for donations.  The top card has some old stickers from Brenda Walton collections.  The only color I applied was a light beige on the flowers with a little glitter.

CARD RECIPE:
I received this Poppy Stamps die called Petal Ribbon and was excited to get it on a card - it is so pretty and I am sure I will find many more uses for this die!!  The only color applied here was on the apple and some Nuvo Crystal Drops for dimension.  The heart clip is keeping it closed for me for the photo but I am thinking I will leave it there.

DANCING IN THE RAIN

Hi, There!

We had a good storm yesterday but now we have a beautiful day!!  I have also seen a few rainbows in my lifetime and they are beautiful and a constant reminder of His wonderful creations for us to marvel at!!!

Now I love this image and have had it for years but just getting to do something with her!!! I think I would dance in the rain too if I had her boots and an adorable umbrella! I had one once but my granddaughter "adopted" it!!!  LOL

The digital image is from MoManning.   I used Copic Markers for coloring and fussy cut her out and attached to the card front.  The raindrops I drew myself and applied Nuvo Crystal Drops and some glitter.

The sentiment from SU and rainbow is a sticker from my stash!

I hope you dance in the rain and are blessed with many rainbows!!!  Hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

COFFEE LOVER'S CARD

Hi, There!

I needed a laugh today and I saw this stamp set from Stampendous in my stash and decided to use it as I had a chuckle the whole time I made some cards from this set!!!  This is only one post of the cards I made with the many funny sentiments - all going out to my coffee friends!

Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful day with your favorite beverage, hugs, and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

Card Recipe:
Stampendous/Coffee Frameset with sentiments
The image has been colored with Copic Markers, added Wink of Stella, and some glitter.
This is an A2 blue card base.  The background is from my stash of Distress Inked papers.  The image was fussy cut and attached with 3D foam to this background.   The bottom strip us DP from a SU collection and I used the champagne rhinestones from SU.

LIFE'S SMALLEST BLESSINGS

Hi, There!

It feels good to be back on my blog with a new post.  It has been a while but now I hope to catch up - somewhat;)

I think about the smallest blessings that come our way and at times even unnoticed but they are there.  Even in this season that we are all struggling thru has its smallest blessings that can bring us joy.  So that is my wish for everyone - whatever could bring a smile to your face or an internal smile for your heart - may you find it!

Stay well, and we will get thru this together!  Hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

FOR MY FRIEND

Hi, There!

I usually do not post on Sunday but this is a special post to a dear friend of mine to say thank you!

When we blog we meet many people by our common interests we share with one another.  Crafters, in general, have always seemed to me to be so generous and encouraging of one another.

I have been blessed to know many friends that share their creativity, kindness, and generosity.  And continue to meet new friends in the wonderful world of blogging:)

So I made these cards using some of the die-cut goodies my friend sent me over the years.  The wooden stamps I used are from my collection of PSX/ Sugar and Mice.  I used Copic Markers for coloring and added glitter.

May we all find ourselves blessed with friends that make a difference in our lives with their kindness and generosity.  Hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

JUST A NOTE - Pocket Band

Hi, There!

I fell in love with these little note cards and matching envelopes and just had to show one more in a post.  This time I wanted to show you the whole little card.

I stamped on the envelope flap.  And also stamped on the outside of the card and applied a die-cut flower (stamped and colored with Copic Markers)  that was popped onto the notecard front with 3D foam.

So I made a belly band and covered it with pretty lace.  Papers from SU.  I tucked in the notecard inside the envelope for the recipient to use or the person receives the card with two notes written - one on the little card - or you can tuck some $$ inside for a gift and write your message inside the card.

I just had fun with these as they worked up so fast - which at times is what I am all about as I will be rushing to get to the next idea rattling around in my head!!!  LOL

Thanks for stopping by, thanks for all the sweet comments you may leave me, always appreciated.  Hugs and be blessed always ~ CaroleAnn

HELLO FRIEND A note within a note!

Hi, There!

Hope my note finds you well and safe.

I received these great little note cards with matching envelopes from my SU demonstrator as a freebie and I made a few different color-themed cards with them.  It was fast and easy - which I was happy about as my supply of cards for gifts was getting very low.

The heart clip keeps the top of the envelope closed over the notecard - the inside of the envelope top is in a solid color matching the card front.  Papers from SU.

The flower is from Floral Notes/Verve and popped up with 3D foam and the sentiment from the same stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by, till next time, hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn

BIRTHDAY BLESSINGS

Hi, There!

Just a fast post today.  I used a combination of products here.  The card base is white with cardstock from my stash in yellow and green.  The sentiment is white embossed/Floral Notes/Verve.  The image is also from the same - fussy cut and popped up on a SU paper circle die cut.  The green background was done with Tim Holtz Alterations die-cut.

Thanks so much for stopping by,  if anyone is celebrating a birthday - then blessings to you and enjoy your day!  Till next time, hugs ~ CaroleAnn

SUGAR AND MICE

Hi, There!!!

As some of you know,  I am trying to go thru all my old wooden stamps and trying to de-clutter - but I'll be darned each time I find a stamp and use it - then I don't want to part with it!!!!  This is not good!  Taking one step forward and 5 back!!!  LOL

So here is this little guy from PSX/Sugar & Mice.  No date on the stamp, but I know it is an oldie but goodie.   Just too cute and I plan to make a few more cards and change up the colors on his flower.

The paper used is from SU/Best Dressed and the sentiment is from SU/Butterfly Gala.  I fussy cut this little guy - I want to call him Gus - I think I am thinking of the mouse in Cinderella and I thought he was so cute too;)  So Gus is colored with Copic Markers and popped up with 3D foam on a die-cut circle.  The ribbon is from my stash.

A LITTLE NOTE AND ENJOYING THE SIMPLE THINGS IN LIFE

Hi There!

Just a little note today and short post.  I had this SU set for some time now and just getting around to using it and the butterflies are just so pretty.  I love butterflies, so gentle and delicate and they just bring a smile to your face.

Every year my husband hangs the hummingbird feeders outside of our back porch and we buy these hanging planters that attract both butterflies and hummingbirds and then we sit on our back porch and watch the show that never fails to amuse both my hubby and myself - enjoying the simple things in life;)

Our weather has been cold here so waiting for those days when hoping, we can be watching this action once more this year.  Thanks for stopping by to take a peek, stay well, and hugs and blessings always ~

THINKING OF YOU - THREE DIFFERENT WAYS

Hi, There!

This is the last of my Raggedy Ann cards.  I need to be onto something else that I received that is new to me and want to play with it.

Finding these stamps in my stash has been a blessing.  Something about Raggedy Ann and Andy always brings back happy memories for me.  So to color this stamp up has been rewarding while putting a smile on my face and giving me some happy time.

And I am blessed to have been able to do this at this time.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you can find some time to color and enjoy the peace that it can invoke.  Be safe, stay well.   Hugs and be blessed always ~ CaroleAnn

STRENGTH FOR TODAY AND HOPE FOR TOMORROW

Hi, There!

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone around the world.  I heard this said, "that someone turned our world upside down and shook it good, like a snow globe".  I thought about that for one second and knew to myself it is a wake-up call for sure!  We are united in this and may we all be united in prayer.

So my card shows some of my feelings and faith.  Thanks for stopping by and may He bless you and keep you safe, hugs and blessings always ~ CaroleAnn

Hi, There!

Have you noticed all the slothing going on out there on the handmade cards?  I am not a fan of the sloth but this poor guy perhaps should have just stayed in bed for the day!!!  LOL

Okay, before you get too bored with me - this is my last image from the same SU Stamp set called Back On Your Feet.

I did enjoy making all these cards and plan to continue making more for my get well stash - as they just make me smile as I am coloring them up.  Cute images.   Thanks for stopping by and visiting, hugs and blessings ~ CaroleAnn
